Two Arrested In Prentiss County Church Burglary Cases

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – After a long investigation in conjunction with the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department, two suspects have been apprehended and charged in the recent series of church burglaries in our local area.

Caleb Fraser Winfield is in custody at the Prentiss County Jail Winfield
charged with one count of burglary of a commercial building for the burglary of Gaston Baptist Church on 06/03/2016, one count of burglary of a commercial building for the burglary of Tuscumbia …Baptist Church on 06/16/2016, and six counts of Identity Theft for procuring credit cards using the identity of church members from documents taken during the burglaries.

The identity thefts were discovered before any transactions could be made using the fraudulent cards.

His bond has been set at $60,000.00.

The second suspect, Randall Robert McMurry Jr., is charged with the same burglary of Gaston Baptist Church along with Accessory After the Fact to the Burglary of Tuscumbia Baptist ChurcMcMurryh.

His bond is set at $15,000.00.

Mr. McMurry is currently being held by the District Attorney’s Office for prior convictions.

Recovery of the stolen property is still ongoing as of this update.

Both suspects are possibly also facing charges with Prentiss County as a result of this investigation.
