Tupelo’s Fairpark District Under Development

TUPELO,  MISS. (WCBI) – Work is underway on a four story office complex that many believe will draw more development to Tupelo’s Fairpark District.

Ground breaking ceremonies were held for “Fairpark Towers.”  The four story,  40,ooo square foot office and retail project is located at the old Tupelo fairgrounds, just west of the Community Development Foundation.

“Maloney Development Properties” is developing Fairpark Towers.  Owner Colin Maloney says the development will generate a lot of interest from other builders and developers.

“It will be office space, some retail space, on first floor and we’re trying to recruit a restaurant for first floor now,” Maloney said.

“This kicks off phase three of the Fairpark project, master plan, this will hopefully lead to more development right here in downtown,” said Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton.

Construction on Fairpark Towers should be complete by June of next year.
