Tupelo Woman Represents Mississippi At ‘Mrs. America’ Pageant This Week
TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – A Tupelo mom, housewife and career woman is representing Mississippi this week at the Mrs. America Pageant.
As George Stone was having quality time with sons Adam and Matthew, his wife Tiffany was fielding a series of rapid fire questions as part of a mock interview.
Earlier this year, Tiffany entered the Mrs Mississippi Pageant. The 37 year old had never taken part in beauty pageants before.
“I wanted to do something for myself. I thought this would be so much fun to do something that would make me happy, so I decided to give it a try,” Tiffany said.
Her hard work paid off, as Tiffany was crowned Mrs Mississippi.
“She’s doing great, she has done a wonderful job, she’s going to make Mississippi proud,” said Cheryl Harper, Tiffany’s coach.
Her preparation is even more intense, with her husband George, who is a personal trainer, and he is also a hairdresser.
“He’s an awesome personal trainer, and he makes me look beautiful by doing my hair,” Tiffany said.
To say he is proud of his wife would be an understatement. George is making the trip with Tiffany to Las Vegas. She will compete in swimsuit, interview, and evening gown. There is also a separate costume category. Tiffany’s platform is volunteerism.
“We don’t really care about the spotlights but it’s all about helping the community and trying to do things to be a positive role model to let people know this stuff is really possible, it may seem impossible but you can do all things through Christ,” said George.
Tiffany is looking forward to the experiences and new friends she will make during the pageant.
“I’m excited about meeting the other ladies and us coming together as a sister hood and I can’t wait to meet the other contestants, and just to get out there and really have a great time,” said Tiffany.
The pageant started today and runs through Saturday. For information on how to watch the competitions online, go to https://livestream.com/SAVP/mrs2017
