Tupelo Woman Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter Charges
TUPELO– A Tupelo woman will spend the next 15-years in prison after pleading guilty to killing her brother last December.
Latosha Isby, 28, was initially charged with aggravated assault after shooting her brother Eric Isby on Dec. 3, 2013. He later died the same day, the charge was upgraded to murder.
She entered a guilty plea last week of a lesser charge of manslaughter, before the Lee County Circuit Judge Tommy Gardner. She was sentenced to 20 years with five years suspended. Isby is also responsible for $2,200 in court costs, fines, and restitution, along with a requirement of five years post-release probation.
As of Thursday, she was being held at Lee County Jail, pending her transfer to the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
