Tupelo Shooting Victim Identified

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI-TV) A 36 year old woman is confirmed as the victim in a death investigation in Tupelo.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green confirms Priscilla Carter died at the Westwood Apartments.

Tupelo Police Officers  responded to a 911 call about 12:30 in the afternoon.

Investigators say the victim appears to have been shot.

Family members say Carter hadn’t been living at the apartment complex for very long.

She leaves behind a 14 year old daughter.

The death remains under investigation..
