Tupelo police issue scam alert: Beware of impersonation calls

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – An old scam is making the rounds again, and Tupelo police want you to know about it.

Someone has been calling Tupelo and Lee County residents claiming to be with the Tupelo Police Department.

They then try to get money or personal information from the intended victim.

The department does not call people for either money or personal information.
