Tupelo Police Believe Recent Robberies Connected – Release Pictures of Possible Suspect

TUPELO, Miss. –

TPD is asking for help identifying a suspect from two recent armed robberies. The suspect is a black male. On Dec. 10, 2016, the Sprint Mart at 317 S. Gloster was robbed at gunpoint. On Dec. 13, 2016, the Dollar General at 1706 S. Gloster was robbed by an individual who threatened the employee with a weapon. In both instances the suspect attempted to disguise his face with a fake beard.

The investigation has revealed that these two robberies were possibly conducted by the same suspect. Surveillance camera footage was found of the suspect without his disguise prior to the Dec. 13 Dollar General robbery. Two possible suspect vehicles are also identified. One is a silver or light gray Chevy Trailblazer or GMC Envoy from Dec. 10. The other from Dec. 13 is possibly a white Toyota Camry four-door with an emergency spare tire on the driver’s rear side.

In addition to these robberies, TPD is also working an armed robbery of the Dollar General at 5400 Cliff Gookin on Sunday, December 18, 2016. In that case the suspect is a black male with possible acne scars on his forehead. It is unknown if this suspect is connected with the Dec. 10 or Dec. 13 crimes. No was injured and the suspect escaped with an undetermined amount of cash.
