Tupelo Man Found Dead in Road

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Tupelo man is found dead near the Palmetto community Saturday evening and police are investigating it as a possible hit un run.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Department responded to Graham Road just before 6:00p.m. That’s when they found 50 year old Richard Allen Darby dead at the scene. Preliminary reports show Darby may have crashed his car before running off the road into a ditch. When police arrived they found Darby dead on the scene laying in the road way.

The accident remains under investigation.
