Tupelo Man Charged With Rape, Kidnapping

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — A Tupelo man is charged with rape and kidnapping following a weekend incident.

Tupelo Police say 30-year-old Trenton Johnson was arrested Monday in connection with the alleged assault at a Tupelo motel.

He also is charged with aggravated domestic assault.

The victim was treated and released for her injuries at North Mississippi Medical Center.

Johnson is scheduled for his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
