Tupelo Man Charged in Home Burglary

TUPELO, Miss. – (PRESS RELEASE) On 10-19-13 the Tupelo Police Department arrested Trey Cates. Cates is being charged with of burglary of an occupied dwelling and burglary of a vehicle. Cates was discovered in the home of a Tupelo resident attempting to steal property. Cates fled on foot and was later arrested. An investigation, utilizing patrol, and CID units, revealed that Cates was also responsible for a vehicle burglary in the area. Lee County Justice Court Judge Pat Carr set Cates bond at $30,000.00.
