Tupelo Keeper Signs with ICC Soccer
FULTON, Miss. (WCBI/LetsGoICC.com) – ICC men’s soccer coach Mike Sullivan announced Tupelo High School goalkeeper John Nabors signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the MACJC North Division champion Indians next season.
“We are excited about the addition of John to our roster for next season,” said Sullivan. “He comes from a very well-coach program at Tupelo High School and we except he’ll be able to come in and contribute to the team right away.”
As a junior, Nabors had 57 saves and 7 shutouts in 16 games to help the Golden Wave finish 11-3-2 and advance to the Class 6A North State semifinals.
“To have shutouts in almost half the games you play in a season is impressive on any level,” Sullivan commented. “We’re hoping he can carry over that same level of play and intensity to the collegiate level to help our team get better and hopefully making another run at a state championship.”
Nabors joins Graves Marshall (Corinth) as the newest members of the 2014 signing class.
