Tupelo High School’s Food Pantry Gets Restocked

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – The Junior Auxiliary in Tupelo is helping Tupelo High School Students.

Several members of the Junior Auxiliary of Tupelo brought non perishable food items for the food pantry at THS.

That food pantry was started a few years ago, as a way to help students who were in danger of going hungry.

Recently, the food pantry was almost depleted and members of the Tupelo JA wanted to help out.

“The mission of Junior Auxiliary is to help children, school age children in Lee County. We provide clothing, food, basic medical needs, school supplies, so to do this is huge. It’s what we do,” said Susan Meredith, of the Junior Auxiliary of Tupelo.

This is also National Junior Auxiliary Week.

JA members help students throughout the Tupelo and Lee County area through a variety of projects during the year.
