Tupelo father charged with felony child abuse

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A 2-month old child is fighting for its life.

Tupelo police responded to a possible child abuse case at NMMCER where the 2-month old was admitted with life-threatening injuries.

Justin Lee Spencer was identified as the father. After a preliminary investigation, he was detained.

Spencer was charged with felony child abuse and is being held without bond.

The 2-month old was later transported to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
