Tupelo CVB Holds Calendar Planning Session

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Officials with the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau are encouraging area businesses owners and residents to become more involved with event planning, networking and public relations.

The CVB hosted an annual meeting that looks at event planning and coordination.  Organizers want to help locals have a forum to connect and cross promote events and functions.

Officials are in the process of revamping their procedures to make it easier for visitors and event organizers to connect online.

“The great opportunity is the more offerings we can offer for our visitors and citizens the more we can get out and promote them, the other great thing is there’s opportunities for partnerships and maybe combining resources and the other thing is opportunities to discuss best practices because nobody wants to reinvent the wheel,” said Neal McCoy of the CVB.
