Tupelo ‘CryptoBallers” Advance In National Senior Olympics
TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – A men’s basketball team will keep practicing their skills after advancing to the next round of the Senior Olympics.
Five Tupelo area men calling themselves the “Crypto Ballers” advanced at this weekend’s Senior Olympics in Biloxi.
The CryptoBallers beat the Clinton Arrows in the final round. Team members say they learned a lot about how the half court, 3 on 3 games work and also learned about some things they need to improve.
Team members have known each other for about 20 years.
“We have had a lot come and go, these are the ones who have stuck through the years, we have all played together. , we said if we are still playing together when we reach 50 we will play in the Senior Olympics,” said Dr Brett Hildenbrand.
The Nationals are next June in Albuquerque. Doctor Hildenbrand says they also need another big guy to play center.
