JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – The Tupelo Golden Wave football team’s record-breaking season has come to an end with a 14-7 loss in the 6A championship game to Oak Grove Friday.

Tupelo’s 14 wins are the most since 1992, the only year the school has won a football state title. First year head coach Trent Hammond turned around a team that went 4-7 in 2012.
