BELDEN, Miss. (WCBI) — After a string of losing seasons, the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles put their names on the map with an 8-1 record in 2015.
Heading into his fourth season, head coach Shaune Holiday said the team is still in a rebuilding stage, but wants to build on the success from a year ago.
“We’re coming in with a positive attitude, expecting to win every game…”, said Holiday, “…last year we were looking for some success and this year we’re looking to be successful every game.”
Nine starters return on both sides of the ball for TCPS, with eight seniors leading the way.
“You can never be satisfied”, Holiday said on his message to the team, “Whether you go 10-0 or 8-1…you want to build every year and this year we’re looking to go 9-0…”
“…I tell the guys all the time, never be satisfied with what you did last year because no one remembers last year.”
