Traffic Changes For Columbus Fireworks Show

Wilkins-Wise Road into Fireworks on the Water will close at 8:40 p.m. on Friday, July 1, according to Columbus Police. Spectators will need to be in place before that time if they are coming to the event on-site.

The free event is scheduled at the Columbus Lock and Dam from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with fireworks to begin at dark.
Wilkins-Wise Road will be closed for the event at 8:40 p.m. for incoming traffic. Once the program concludes, both lanes of Wilkins-Wise Road will be made a one-way exit for traffic out of the area as quickly and safely as possible.
The one-way out traffic pattern will be set up to Waverly Ferry Road and police and law enforcement officers will be directing traffic at key intersections.
