Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office Makes Drug Bust
TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – The Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department had been conducting an investigation into a Jose Martinez Capetillo, of Corinth, Mississippi.
The investigation stemmed from the alleged possessing and selling of illegal narcotics at a business in Tishomingo County.
The Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on Jose Martinez Capetillo on Highway 72 in the Burnsville, Mississippi area.
As Capetillo vehicle was being pulled over, Capetillo attempted to throw out alleged Methamphetamine as well as Marijuana from the window of his vehicle.
Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies were able to quickly retrieve the alleged narcotics and detain Capetillo.
The Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department was able to recover approximately $1,000.00 worth of alleged Methamphetamine and approximately ¼ ounce of Marijuana.
The Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department also seized approximately $3,313.00 in U. S. Currency and a 2002 Ford vehicle.
Jose Martinez Capetillo, 41 years-old, Hispanic male, of 37 Pace Terrace, Corinth, Mississippi was charged with FELONY Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) with Intent to Distribute within 1500 feet of a Church.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as well as Alcorn Sheriff’s Department has also placed a “hold” on Capetillo for their investigators.
Sheriff John Daugherty would like to thank the Burnsville Police Department as well as the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department in assisting his agency in the investigation and arrest of Jose Angel Lopez.
