Three Shooting Suspects Make First Court Appearance
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Three people arrested in connection with a Lowndes County shooting over the weekend made their first court appearance today, February 12.
William Carr is charged with Attempted Murder. His bond was set at $150,000.
Dawn Crawford and Diane Crowe are both charged with Accessory after the Fact. Their bonds were set at $10,000 each.
Lowndes County investigators say the shooting happened Saturday night at 192 Center Street in New Hope.
Deputies say witnesses and the victim were able to identify a suspect.
A short time later the trio facing charges was arrested during a traffic stop in East Columbus.
Deputies say the victim was taken to Baptist Golden Triangle and later airlifted to another hospital.
The victim’s condition was not released.
Investigators do not believe the shooting was random and could possibly involve narcotics.
