Three Arrested In Webster County Child Abuse Investigation
WEBSTER CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – Three are arrested in a Webster County child abuse investigation.
On Wednesday, the Webster County Sheriff’s Department reportedly got word of a child abuse case from DHS.
DHS had sent the child in question to Eupora Hospital by ambulance, where the child was then transported by helicopter to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
The sheriff’s office reportedly began investigating the claim made by DHS immediately.
That led to the arrest of the child’s mother, Wendy Fountain of Eupora, who is charged with child abuse and is held on a $100,000 dollar bond.
Heather and John Fountain, also of Eupora, were arrested and are charged with contributing to neglect of a child.
They are each being held on a $50,000 dollar bond.
All three suspects are being held in the Webster County Jail.
The Webster County Sheriff’s Office says there could be related charges in other counties and more arrests could be made in this ongoing investigation.
