The Mississippi State Baseball Team’s Season Ends With Loss
(WCBI Sports) – The Mississippi State baseball team’s season ended Saturday with one of the worst stretches in program history, losing 18 of its final 21 games.
The Bulldogs lost 3-2 at Tennessee after leading 2-0 in the 9th inning, as the Volunteers swept State and clinched a spot in the SEC Tournament.
MSU finished the season 24-30 overall, 8-22 in the SEC, and will not play in next week’s conference tournament. The bulldogs fell in their final six games and in eight of their last nine SEC contests.
