ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI)- The city of Aberdeen got a big check today. The Home Depot Foundation presented a $16,000 check to use to renovate the city’s Veterans Memorial Park.
“We are going to strip up everything that is in this park and the city is going to help with that and we are going to bring in all new materials and we will also have a playground area that is suitable for children from ages 2-12 years old,” Latoya Loyd with Home Depot said.
The city is looking for all will to volunteer with the remodeling of the playground.
The Home Depot and volunteers plan to remodel the playground on November 14th in a one day overhaul event.
