Temporary Railroad Crossing Closure Announced For Monroe County

MONROE CO., Miss. (WCBI) – Some Monroe County residents may need to take an alternate route for part of the day this Wednesday.

Monroe County Road Manager Sonny Clay says that the railroad crossing on Splunge Road, between Old Highway 6 and Highway 278 will be closed starting at 7:00 am on Wednesday, August 10th.

The temporary closure is so crews from the road department can make repairs to the crossing.

The crossing is expected to reopen at 2:00 pm that same day.
