Teen in Critical Condition After ATV Collides With Car

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI)- State Troopers are still investigating a two-vehicle crash in Pontotoc, involving a teenager.

Troopers responded to the intersection of MS 341 and Pennington Road at approximately 6pm on Friday.

When they arrived, it appeared a 16 year-old teen, operating a four-wheeler (ATV), was driving east on Pennington Road. Troopers believe he pulled into the pathway of a north-bound vehicle, driven by 55 year-old Bobby Chrestman, of Pontotoc.

The teen was airlifted to NMMC then later transferred to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital. He was listed as being in critical but stable condition.

Chrestman was taken by a private vehicle to a local hospital with minor injuries.
