SUV hits utility pole in Lowndes County

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – At least one person was trapped in a late Thursday afternoon crash in Lowndes County.

The accident happened on Black Creek Road, near Military Road.

The SUV hit a utility pole and apparently flipped over.

There were several people inside the vehicle but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

A power outage reported in the area, due to the destroyed pole.

Lowndes County deputies are investigating the crash.
