Suspect Sought in Kidnapping and Sexual Assault

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Deputies in Chickasaw County are searching for a suspect who kidnapped and then sexually assaulted a woman early Friday morning. Chief Deputy Jim Meyers tells WCBI that the assault happened on Old Highway 45, north of Okolona. The woman, whose name is not being released, was taken at gunpoint from her home and then sexually assaulted. She was then let go. Meyers says she has been released from the hospital and is doing well physically.
