Sunny, pleasant days continue
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Chilly nights and pleasant days continue through the end of the week. Small rain chances are possible for the weekend.
TUESDAY: Expect plenty of sun with just a few high clouds at times and highs in the upper 50s to near 60°.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Clear and calm! Lows will average near 30 degrees, but some of the normally colder spots are likely to see upper 20s.
REST OF WEEK: High pressure remains anchored over the Carolinas, deflecting any weather systems away from the Southeast. Highs will eventually make it into the lower 60s by Thursday & Friday as overnight lows finally go above freezing.
WEEKEND: Looks like some phasing of upper-air systems will occur over the Southeast, producing a strengthening area of low pressure over the eastern Gulf/Florida into the Carolinas Saturday and Sunday. As this happens, we’ll probably see some occasional showers Saturday into Sunday, but the widespread, more disruptive weather with this system looks to stay east of us. If this changes, we’ll let you know!
