Summer-Like Thursday, Strong Storms Saturday
TONIGHT: Clear and quiet conditions will prevail. Lows should be in the low 60s.
THURSDAY: Another partly cloudy, warm, and humid spring day is on tap. Look for highs in the mid to upper 80s. A stray storm is possible but we’re keeping it out of our official forecast for now.
FRIDAY: We’ll remain warm with highs in the low to mid 80s. There is a 30% chance of rain and storms but it’ll be mainly focused on areas north of Tupelo. Locations near the Golden Triangle have a much lower chance at seeing rain during the day.
SATURDAY: Scattered showers and storms are likely and some may become strong to severe. Hail, damaging wind gusts, and an isolated tornado or two remain possible during the afternoon and early evening. Stay tuned for additional details and timing later this week. Daytime highs should be in the 70s to lower 80s.
SUNDAY: A MUCH cooler day remains on track for the end of the weekend. Highs in the 60s? Yes please!
NEXT WEEK: Gorgeous sunshine is going to be the main theme to start the week. Highs should be in the 70s Monday with 80s returning Tuesday.
