Students Rewarded For Hard Work

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) – Students at Houston Middle School gets big bucks for their high scores on state tests.

Monday, the school teamed up  Partners in Achieving Community Excellence or “PACE” to reward sixth, seventh, and eighth graders who scored
proficient or above or showed growth on the 2017 state tests.

Thirty-nine students, the top scorers, each received $100 in cash.

Other students who scored high received prizes like movie tickets and pizzA and ice cream parties.
