Strong Storms Again Today
TONIGHT: Scattered storm will continue through the evening. Some storms could have gusty winds and small hail. Flash flooding is also a possibility given deep moisture and slow storm motions. Look for storms to clear out by midnight, but more may develop in the early morning hours of Saturday, particularly along I-55. Lows tonight will be in the low 70s with partly cloudy skies.
SATURDAY: Hot and humid. Highs in the low 90s, with heat index values in the upper 90s and low 100s. A few summertime isolated to widely scattered showers and storms are possible in the afternoon.
SUNDAY: A lot like Saturday weather wise. Temperatures top out in the low 90s with heat index values well above that. A few widely scattered showers and storms are again possible in the afternoon. Sunday Night, a weak cold front will begin to push into our area from north to south. It will bring more organized showers and storms with it late Sunday into Monday.
MONDAY: Perhaps this is the best chance for scattered showers and storms area wide as a cold front moves through. Look for showers and storms to end Monday Night. Highs will be near 90.
TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY: Tuesday and Wednesday look to be dry days with plenty of sunshine. We’ll bring back some moisture Thursday and Friday allowing for a small chance for a few pop-up showers and storms. Highs will stay in the upper 80s and low 90s with lows from the mid 60s to low 70s.
