Storms Today; Some Strong.
TODAY: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some storms may be strong or severe, with hail and winds being the main threat. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s to near 80°. Chance of rain around 50%.
TONIGHT: A few lingering showers and perhaps a thunderstorm. Otherwise, variably cloudy and mild. Lows in the low 60s. Chance of rain 20%.
SATURDAY: High temperatures reach the low 80s under partly cloudy skies. A couple of isolated showers and perhaps a thunderstorm possible. More spots than not stay dry. Chance of rain 20%. Mostly clear overnight. Lows in the low 60s.
SUNDAY: Warm and mostly sunny. Highs in the low 80s. Mostly clear overnight, with lows in the low to mid 60s.
NEXT WEEK: We start the week out warm, with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. Some low end rain chances will be present Monday and Tuesday. A cold front approaches the area during the day Wednesday. This front may trigger a few showers and perhaps a thunderstorm. Overall rain chances along the front will be relatively low, only around 30% for now. There is a little less model discrepancy over timing of the front than yesterday, but still enough to make forecasting the high temperature for Wednesday a bit difficult. For now, I’m going with a bit of a model blend for the high Wednesday, putting us in the upper 60s. Low 60s looks likely for Thursday.
