State Unveils New Driver’s License

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi driver’s license is getting a new look.

The Department of Public Safety recently unveiled the new license that is now being issued to motorists who renew or order a duplicate online or with revamped kiosks at driver’s license stations across the state.

The change is part of an effort that began nearly five years ago to upgrade the license and ID process, making it faster and more secure.

The upgrade should be completed by the end of this year.

The state’s current driver’s license system has been in place for more than twenty-five years.
