STARVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Preschool students at Emerson Family School in Starkville are learning about the source of their food.
As part of the school’s Fresh Start Initiative, students and staff planted a vegetable garden Friday.
As their garden grows, students will learn more about vegetables and making healthy food choices. The most exciting part will likely be harvest time. They will get to eat what they’ve grown.
Fresh Start was established at Emerson Preschool in 2011 by a group of concerned parents.
