Starkville Man Jailed After Allegedly Assaulting Officer

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Starkville man is charged with simple assault on a police officer.

HUBBARD

46-year-old Bennie Hubbard is also charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

The incident happened at the Sprint Mart on New Light Road yesterday afternoon.

Starkville Police did not release any information about what led to Hubbard’s arrest.

He was taken to the Webster County Jail.
