STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – With the help of the Junior Auxiliary of Starkville, the children of Oktibbeha County will have more school supplies to start of the school year.
The organization hosted it’s annual “Stuff the Bus” event at the Walmart in Starkville which provides hundreds of school supplies to the teachers and guidance counselors to distribute to children in need throughout the academic year. All donations received from the school drive will go directly to the schools.
“As we know budgets are being cut every year and we’re just here for our children of Oktibbeha county and the teachers in supplying crayons, glue, rulers… Anything that is needed in the school rooms,” said Arma Dela Cruz, Junior Auxiliary member.
A school supply list of needs for each school is located inside Walmart in the school supply area. The Junior Auxiliary of Starkville volunteers collected the supplies at the Walmart entrance.
