Video: Starkville Main Street Honored By State Organization

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville Main Street, a local developer, and a businessman pick up big statewide awards.

Mississippi Main Street honored the Starkville organization with its Outstanding Creative Fundraiser award for the “Farm to Fork Dinner.” The award is given to the downtown organization that displays the most creativity and success in raising funds for its downtown program or a project.

Mark Castleberry was recognized with the Outstanding Economic Impact Project award for his revitalization of the old Cotton Mill.  The Mill now features a convention center, business offices, and retail space.

Briar Jones was honored with the Sam Kaye Excellence in Design Award.

The annual luncheon was held last week in Jackson.
