Starkville City Worker Resigns Over Embezzlement Charge
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A Starkville city employee has resigned after being charged with embezzlement.
Latonya Goliday-Henderson, 35, was arrested after a joint investigation by Starkville police and local and state auditors linked her to $846 missing from city funds.
New financial reporting requirements implemented by the city last year helped uncover the theft.
Henderson worked as an accounts receivable clerk for eight months as a temporary employee and four as a full-time worker.
