3 Mississippi Schools Set For Road To Omaha

UNDATED (WCBI) – Three teams from the Magnolia State are heading to post season baseball action.  Mississippi State leads the way by landing the number 6 National seed.   That means they would not have to travel any.  The teams coming to Starkville are Southeast Missouri State which will face the host Bulldogs at 6:30 Friday night.  The first game pits  number 2 seed Cal State Fullerton against the 3 seed Louisiana Tech..

Ole Miss did not land a national seed but is hosting a regional and opens play against Utah.  That first pitch is set for 7 PM Friday night.   Tulane and Boston College are the other two teams heading to Oxford.    Southern Mississippi is packing its bags for a trip to Tallahassee.  USM ias the number 2 seed in the  Florida State regional and will start play at 11 Friday against South Alabama.  Florida State and Alabama State are the other two teams in the Tallahassee regional.  The WCBI Sports Team will have a complete look at the breakdowns tonight on WCBI News
