Six Charged in Monroe Drug Raids
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Six Monroe County residents are arrested after a series of weekend drug raids.
Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says those arrested included:
— Travis Devon Price, 28, of Amory, charged with selling marijuana;
— Callie Lee Laney, 34, of Amory, charged with selling hydrocodone;
— Amanda Lee Burks, 33, of Amory, charged with three counts of selling a controlled substance;
— Erik Walker Burks, 30, of Amory, charged with three counts of selling a controlled substance;
— Edward D. McMillan, 28, of Aberdeen, charged with selling marijuana;
— Brady Miles Thompson, 19, of Amory, charged with selling marijuana and crack cocaine.
The warrants are the result of several months of undercover investigations by sheriff’s department and the North Mississippi Narcotics Bureau. Cantrell says more arrests are expected.
