Showers likely Wednesday and Thursday, with below average temperatures all week

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – SUMMARY: It has been a picture perfect type weather day across the region! Today’s high temperatures reached the low-70s under a clear blue, sunny sky.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with overnight lows in the mid-40s. North wind 3-5 mph becoming calm overnight. Areas of patchy fog possible.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny with afternoon highs in the mid-60s. North wind 5-10 mph. 

TUESDAY NIGHT: Becoming mostly cloudy with lows in the upper-40s. North wind around 5 mph.

REST OF THE WEEK: Scattered showers will be possible Wednesday (60%) and Thursday (50%). Most of this activity will be on the light to moderate side and neither day will be “all day” rain. The bigger story will be the temperatures. Thursday’s high temperatures will max out in the upper-40s to low-50s across our entire region. Cold!

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Friday night’s games will be dry with no chance of rain, but colder than normal. Expect temperatures to be in the low-50s and upper-40s Friday night after kickoff. Bundle up! 

TROPICS: Tropical Storm Wanda developed earlier today in the North Atlantic. Wanda will be a fish storm and will not impact land anywhere. Elsewhere across the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico, all is quiet and tropical storm formation is not expected through this weekend.
