Showers and Cooler Temperatures This Weekend
COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Starting off this Veteran’s Day with overcast skies and a few showers mainly to the South. Cooler temperatures will continue through the overnight hours and the rest of your weekend. Looking ahead to next week, most of us will stay dry for Monday before we see a greater chance for more rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.
TODAY/TONIGHT – Scattered showers will continue to work their way through NE Mississippi today, but most of us just seeing overcast conditions. It remains another cool and muggy day for our Saturday with temperatures in the lower 60s this afternoon. Thick cloud coverage and a possible isolated shower or two remains possible as we head into the overnight hours. Temperatures will fall down into the middle 50s tonight.
TOMORROW – Starting off our Sunday with mostly cloudy skies and a few stray showers, but the clouds will begin to work their way out of the area by lunchtime and leaving us with mostly clear skies. Still pretty chilly for our Sunday with highs only reaching into the low to middle 60s. Heading into the overnight ours, a few more clouds work their way back into the region, but we will remain dry.
NEXT WEEK – Starting off the next work week with a few clouds on Monday, but we will remain dry for our Monday. More rain makes its way back into the forecast by Tuesday with some locally heavy showers continuing into Wednesday. The rain clears out of the area by Thursday just leaving us with partly cloudy skies to end the week.
