Shooting Suspect Now In Custody

EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI)- A Eupora teenager is now behind bars for allegedly shooting another man in the face.

Early Wednesday morning investigators arrested Dy’Quarvis “Pirshion” Wofford.

Eupora Police Chief Greg Hunter said the 17-year-old was captured in Maben around four o’clock in the morning.

According to police, Wofford is accused of shooting Bronzeman Watson at the Early Grove Apartments Tuesday night.

Police were called to the complex around seven o’clock Tuesday night on Highway 9 North.

Hunter said Watson was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, where he’s currently listed in critical but stable condition.

Wofford is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He’s set to make his initial court appearance Thursday morning at 9 o’clock.
