Shannon High Student Named to U.S. Army All American Band

SHANNON, Miss. – (WCBI) An All American is walking the halls of Shannon High school

Shannon High band member Terell Gilmore is the newest member of the U.S. Army All American band. The tenor sax player is one of only 125 high school students nationwide picked to play in the group. Gilmore says he is honored to be recognized for all of the hours he has spent practicing and performing.

“I received an email when I was visiting my father in Chicago, and I read the email and had small tears of joy because coming from the school that I came from is something I really did not expect,” says Terrell Gilmore.

Gilmore will perform live at the 2015 U.S Army All American Bowl in San Antonio January 3, 2015.
