Sexual Assault Charges Dropped

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Charges are dismissed against a Columbus man charged with sexually assaulting an MUW student.

A Columbus city judge dismissed sexual battery charges against 27-year-old Jammarell Brandon who was arrested in late September. He was charged after a three-week investigation that began when an MUW student reported she’d been assaulted in a dorm room after a party in August.

Brandon is not an MUW student.

Brandon said today he was glad he’s been cleared of the charges and wants to move on with the lessons he learned from the case.
