* Until 1115 AM CDT Monday.

* At 513 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Red Bay, Town
Creek, Cherokee, Littleville, Leighton, Belgreen, New Bethel,
Crooked Oak, Posey Loop, Red Rock, Colbert Heights, Pride Landing,
Srygley Church, Barton, Cedar Creek Reservoir and Dempsey.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest Alabama, including the following
counties, Franklin AL and Lawrence.

* WHEN...Until 1130 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 926 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned
area. Between 3.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Russellville, Red Bay, Phil Campbell, Belgreen, Vina, Hodges,
Rockwood, Isbell, Spruce Pine, Duketon, Tharptown, Little
Bear Creek Reservoir, Newburg, Atwood, Mt Hope, Halltown, Ne
Smith and Bankhead National Forest.
