Several Horses Shot & Killed In Chickasaw County

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Several horses were found shot in Chickasaw County Tuesday morning.

At least five horses are dead, a couple are wounded, and some are missing.

Sheriff James Meyers says the horses were shot on private property in the Van Vleet community.

The crime was reported by the owner of the horses.

Meyers says they are in the beginning stages of the investigation, but the suspect could be charged with a felony.
