Video: Sen. Wicker: U.S. at War with ISIS

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — U.S. Senator Roger Wicker says it is time for President Obama to allow the military to defeat ISIS.

Earlier this week, dozens were killed and hundreds wounded in Brussels, Belgium, when bombs went off at the airport and at the subway.

The Islamic terror group ISIS quickly claimed responsibility, and warned of more attacks to come.

Republican Senator Roger Wicker says the latest attacks show that ISIS is far from contained, as the President has said in the past.

“We are at war with ISIS and we might as well admit that, they are going to have to be defeated, for the sake of our European allies, the sake of the migrant crisis that’s occuring in Europe but also for our own security, a Paris, or a Belgium could also happen here in the United States,” Sen. Wicker said.

Senator Wicker also said the United States is not following through on its promises to stand by its allies, if steps are not taken to defeat ISIS.
