Security Officer Shot At Winston County Night Club

WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- The Winston County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a weekend shooting that left a security officer critically injured.

The shooting happened early Sunday morning at a nightclub on Stockyard Road.

Sheriff Jason Pugh tells us a security officer, employed by a private company, was shot while responding to an altercation at the club.

A family member tells us the victim is being treated at UMMC in Jackson.

No arrests have been made. The shooting remains under investigation.
