SEC Suspends Dillon Day for One Game

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi State senior Dillon Day will not be on the field next Saturday for the Bulldogs.

The starting center of Mississippi State is suspended for the game versus Texas A&M next Saturday, October 4th at 11:00am on ESPN. This suspension was announced by the Southeastern Conference on Tuesday.

Day was shown stepping or stomping on an LSU player during two plays during Mississippi State’s 34-29 victory over the Tigers on Saturday. Day released an apology letter on Monday via Twitter: https://twitter.com/DoomzDAY63/status/514132018415042560

In the SEC’s release, it stated: “This action is the result of multiple flagrant and unsportsmanlike acts during the game, as well as previous disciplinary action for similar behavior.”

Day was suspended for the first half of last year’s game versus Troy due to a similar incident at Auburn.
